Our next meeting of 2022 will take place on Thursday 28th April in the Gorgie Suite, Tynecastle Park. The meeting will commence at 7.00pm with the usual format of a two course meal followed by tea/coffee. The bar will be open from 6.15pm.
This year represents the tenth anniversary of the greatest day in the history of our beloved Club when we beat
the Hibs 5-1 in the Scottish Cup Final of 2012. To celebrate this great day, the Committee have invited four players who played in the match to join us for the evening. Two of the scorers. Darren Barr and Danny Grainger, as well as Andy Webster and goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald will share their memories of that great day. It should make for a most enjoyable evening.
When the stand alone power unit used by Andy Prime , Chaplain , and Principal Ambassador Gary Locke for the Memorial Garden Services ceased to function , the Shareholders Association stepped in and purchased a brand new unit for the purpose.
Pictured below are Committee members John Kane and Bill Alves presenting the new unit to Gary in (as many of you will recognise ) the Hearts Museum.
Our Next Event
Your Committee endeavours to invite a variety of informative and entertaining speakers to our monthly Dinners. Over the years we have been very lucky to attract excellent guest speakers, both from Tynecastle and the football world beyond, to our meetings. If you have any suggestions for future speakers or know someone who you think would be an interesting speaker please let us know and perhaps we can invite them along.
In an effort to cut printing and postage costs could members who would be happy to receive all Association communications by email please send an email advising of the preferred email address to:
This will cut our costs considerably and allow us to donate more funds to Hearts related causes.
The Association has made a number of donations this year.
Our sponsored players this year are Steven Naismith, Loic Damour and Aaron Hickey.
We have donated £9000 to the Hearts Stadium Redvelopment fund.
£1000 has been donated to help fund the new bronze statue of the Memorial Clock, which can been seen in the Hearts museum. We have also donated £487 to purchase photographic equipment for the Museum to help with digitalizing Club records held within the Museum.
Again this is down to the generosity of our members.
Our income from this source continues to help us support the Club. Thanks to those who purchase tickets and especially those who donate raffle prizes. It is much appreciated.
Since the issue of Share Certificates for the Share Issue in 2012 we have received a number of new members and the Committee would like to take this opportunity to welcome them to the Association and hope to see them at our monthly meetings.
