Our Next Event

Our next meeting will be onThursday 23rd February when our guest on the evening will be Charlie Mann, Radio Scotland football broadcaster and (of course) former press agent for Vladimir Romanov.

The cost of the meal is £15.00 for members and £17.00 for guests. The deadline for requesting a place is Saturday 18th February 2012. The meeting will commence at 7:00 pm with the usual format of a 2-course meal followed by tea/coffee. The bar will be open from 6:15 pm.

A new Association tie is now on sale and selling well at a very reasonable £12. Ties can be purchased at our monthly Dinners or via the Calling Notice.

Lisa Paterson and her team collected an excellent net £300 from the raffle at the last Dinner. This all helps us to donate to and help the Club. Thank you to all who bought tickets and those who donated prizes as well as those who buy tickets via the Calling Notice. Donations of prizes are always welcome. We are now raffling the Poppy Shirt worn by Andrew Driver. Tickets are priced at only £2 to win a unique signed jersey.

At the AGM on 26th January 2012 the members voted to donate £5000 to Hearts Youth Development to purchase equipment to enhance the video analysis purchased a number of years ago. John Murray has thanked the Association for the generous donation and says that this helps to keep Hearts at the forefront for technology on youth football development.

The Association also pledged £1000 to the 1914 Memorial Trust to help in the purchase of a statue to commemorate those Hearts players who volunteered to join up to fight in the First World War in September 1914.
